Long standing match organiser Mick Woods held
an ACA qualifier match at Chasewater near Cannock
on the 7th January 2007. The match proved an outstanding
day with a total of 92lb of fish caught between
10 anglers. On the day Mick Garner won the match
and landed 6 pike for a whopping personal best
catch of 61lb, with his largest fish weighing in
at an impressive 14lb 10oz. Mick Stephens came
second but did not qualify with a fish that almost
doubled his previous personal best at 15lb 10oz.

Fourteen year old Oliver Fisher landed a fabulous
13lb11 oz pike on Graham Taylor's pike qualifier
match, held at Frisby Pits, Leicestershire
on the 4 th November 2006.
